When an examination or testing may be needed
Some medicines require an examination, monitoring or laboratory work. Others may be outside the service’s scope. The visit is a clinical assessment, not an automatic refill service.
Discussing treatment
When a refill is appropriate, a prescription can be sent to your chosen pharmacy. The pharmacy handles dispensing, stock and medication charges. Virtual ER provides the clinical visit; it does not fill medication at a local storefront.
When to get care in person
Do not wait until a medication gap becomes an emergency. Contact your treating clinician or pharmacist promptly when you are concerned about missed doses. Severe symptoms or a life-threatening reaction need emergency care.
