What Does a Telemedicine Visit Cost?

Virtual ER accepts most major insurance plans and offers self-pay for patients without coverage.Your cost is confirmed with you before your visit begins — our front desk reviews your insurance or self-pay details with you up front, so there are no surprise bills. Medicaid is not accepted.

How Payment Works — Step by Step

1

Start your visit request

Tap "Start a Visit" and share your basic information and symptoms — about 2 minutes, no app or account.

2

Our front desk confirms your cost

A real person reviews your insurance details or self-pay option with you and confirms what your visit will cost — before you are charged anything.

3

See your clinician

Connect by video with a board-certified ER physician or licensed nurse practitioner. Prescriptions, when appropriate, are sent to your pharmacy at no extra charge from us.

Your Payment Options

Insurance

We accept many major insurance plans. Telemedicine copays are often lower than ER or urgent care copays, and Texas and Louisiana telehealth parity laws require most insurers to cover video visits comparably to in-person care.

Not sure about your plan? Call 1-855-FIND-VER before booking and we'll check.

Self-Pay

No insurance? Self-pay is available with a flat, straightforward rate — quoted to you clearly by our front desk before your visit starts. No membership fees, no subscriptions, no hidden charges.

You'll know your exact cost before you commit — always.

Not Accepted

Medicaid is not accepted at this time.

For a life-threatening emergency, call 911 — emergency rooms treat everyone regardless of coverage.

Cost Questions, Answered Honestly

Will I be charged before I know the price?
No. Our front desk confirms your insurance coverage or self-pay amount with you before your visit begins. You will always know your cost up front.
Is a telemedicine visit cheaper than going to the ER?
For conditions that telemedicine can treat, yes — dramatically. Telemedicine copays are typically a fraction of an emergency room bill. And if your condition genuinely needs the ER, our physicians will tell you that honestly instead of charging you for care that can't help.
Does insurance really cover telemedicine?
Most major plans do. Texas and Louisiana both have telehealth parity laws requiring most insurers to cover telemedicine comparably to in-person visits. Call 1-855-FIND-VER and we'll verify your specific plan.
Are prescriptions extra?
We don't charge extra to send a prescription to your pharmacy. What the pharmacy charges for the medication itself depends on the drug and your coverage.
Do you take Medicaid?
No. We accept many major insurance plans and self-pay, but Medicaid is not accepted.
